Kindergarten Registration

SPS Kindergarten Readiness - a brief decription about our Kindergarten program and ways families and caregivers can prepare young learners for Kindergarten.

It is an exciting time for you and your family! While there is much information to absorb, our goal is to make it as easy as possible for you.

We can't wait to meet you and your kindergartner!

Kindergarten Registration begins on January 10th at 9 AM when the Registration Gateway program opens for the online process, follwed on January 17th when in person Registration Day takes place at Jenkins Elementary School.

Our goal is to keep students in their neighborhood or "home" school, although potentially some students could be placed in other schools to maximize the efficiency of our Full-Day Kindergarten (FDK) and Half-Day Kindergarten (HDK) programs.

Once classroom slots in a "home school" are filled those students registered after that date will be placed on a waiting list for that school in the order in which registrations are completed.

All children will receive a placement for Kindergarten at a school with available slots.
