OUR MISSION:
To support, educate, and provide resources for families, and to collaborate with the school system for the benefit of the community.
OUR ROLE:
- Offer parent support, including monthly meetings
- Act as a liaison between the Special Education Administration and the community
- Advise the school committee and Special Education Director of needs in the community as gained through formal and informal needs assessments
- Develop and evaluate special education programs
- Educate parents and community members through trainings and workshops
- Provide an annual Special Education "Parent's Rights" Training
SEPAC MEMBERS:
Any parents, guardians, or caregivers who...
- have children who receive special education services, in or out of the Scituate community
- are just entering into, or are beginning to explore, the special education process
- are concerned their child may have some learning differences and/or behavioral challenges
