Jennifer De Leon’s Don't Ask Me Where I'm From is a story about a Latinx girl who is contending with the rewards and challenges of transitioning from her diverse public high school in Boston to a predominantly white school through her participation in the METCO program. The story also delves into teenage relationships, immigration, code switching and racism in education.

METCO PARENT ORGANIZATION The Scituate/METCO Parent Organization (SMPO) consists of parent volunteers dedicated to working with the METCO Director to improving the METCO experience for all students in the Scituate Public Schools.   The SMPO holds regular meetings in Boston to inform parents of current and upcoming events within Scituate and share information regarding students needs.

The 2019-2020 SMPO Parent Board will be announced in the fall. FRIENDS OF SCITUATE METCO

Friends of Scituate METCO is an independent group dedicated to helping Scituate's METCO students make the most of the educational opportunities provided by the METCO program. We are a diverse, all-volunteer group comprised of parents and teachers in the Scituate community, and parents of METCO students from Boston.
