The Gates Intermediate School is a 7th & 8th grade community of learners. At Gates we encourage respect for self, others and the school, responsibility for one's self and one's learning, and rigorous academics. Our Core Values (listed above) drive everything we do and the decisions we make.

The middle school years are important ones for a child's social, emotional and academic well-being. At Gates we strive to provide a community that supports and encourages individual student growth in these areas. We work hard to foster an environment where relationships between students, faculty and parents are developed so that each child can meet with success, both academically and socially. As a two-year school our job is to transition children from elementary students to young-adult learners. We believe that at Gates, we do that well.
