As a teacher I believe:

• All students have gifts and talents.  I will help your child discover his or her talents, feel challenged, and be successful in my classroom.
• Learning should be interesting and connected to real life experiences.  I want my students to gain a love of reading and writing, a curiosity about math and social studies and wonderment about science.  I want them to enjoy being in my classroom and have many opportunities to laugh and smile. 
• Students need to learn the skills and strategies of effective group work.  In doing so, they will be prepared for successful collaborations with their peers and adults throughout their lives.
• Parents are an important asset in learning.  I value parent volunteerism and I value working together to meet the needs of your child.
