Resource Room
Resource Room Services are for students in full inclusion to partial inclusion placements. Scituate has 4 full time and 1 half time resource room teachers. All resource room teachers co-teach at least one academic subject (English, math, social studies or science). Students scheduled for special education services during the academic resource period (ARC) receive a grade and credit. Typically, ARC services are identified on IEPs as study skills, pre-teaching, organization strategies, test taking strategies, development with long range planning or long term projects, self-advocacy, goal setting and independence. Resource teachers work closely with high school students to support with the development of visions and transitional planning.

Transitional Learning Center
The Transitional Learning Center (TLC) is a safe, supportive, therapeutic learning environment that ensures the academic success and well being of students with transitional needs. The population of students serviced within the TLC have significant emotional needs and or diagnosis. Support services provided through TLC include, 1:1 counseling, group counseling, academic support, organizational support, therapeutic interventions and behavior plans. Some students within the program require a shorter day or a gradual transition return to academics and a typical school schedule. Others are supported through the year with a specific schedule of TLC periods. Other typical services provided through TLC include transition planning, tutoring to make up work, parent consultation and collaboration with state agencies.

Life Skills Vocational Program
The Vocational Life Skills Program enrolls a population of students whose intellectual disabilities present them with unique challenges in preparing for adult life. The mission of the program is to enable students to develop goals and teach the students the skills necessary to enter the work of work and independent living. The curriculum of the program include functional academics, pre-vocational skills, social skills, and job training and coaching. Typical services include functional academics, occupational therapy, APE, speech and language and counseling. The program currently has at least 40 job sites within the immediate and surrounding community in order to meet the unique needs, interest and skill level of the enrolled students. Students in the program are typically eligible for services until the age of 22 and will receive a certificate of attendance from Scituate High School. These students participate in graduation activities and ceremony.
