Empty Bowl: This cross-curricular initiative with the Fine Arts department is a winning program for all involved. Ms. Wade-Baker's students provide the ambiance, service and nourishment for faculty to dine as the proceeds from this community service event goes to the Scituate Food Pantry.
Growing Up Ready® at Gates: The Gates FACS program consists of two cross-curricular, technology-based modules; Math in the Kitchen and Science in the Kitchen. Student are excited and engaged by these modules and Ms. Hebert indicated the program is "far better than she could have ever imagined and students are captivated by them."
Inter-generational Luncheon: Gates students host a multi-course meal for some of Scituate's senior citizens.
