| Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA): DECA is an organization committed to improve education and career opportunities for students interested in careers in marketing, management and entrepreneurship. Schools like Scituate belonging to DECA are eligible to access DECA curriculum, attend conferences, participate in competitions and have scholarship opportunities. For the first time this January, our business education students will be competing at the regional DECA competition. |

| Scituate High School is not waiting for legislation to mandate financial literacy in schools and has voluntarily joined with National Endowment For Financial Education (NEFE) to provide the much-needed financial education to students. The MA Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation entered into a public-private partnership with HEFE to provide their free High School Financial Planning Program curriculum to willing schools throughout the state and were joined in the effort by the MA Department of Education. |

| Shipyard School Store: Students in our Marketing course are directly responsible for managing all aspects of operations relating the Shipyard School Store. Students are responsible store set-up and product placement, handling sales transactions, managing inventory, pricing strategies, creating new designs and ideas for merchandise, and effective advertising concepts to promote the store and its products. |
