Dear Families,
During dismissal, please DO NOT USE The Harbor Methodist Church
parking lot to pick up children. Not only is this not our property,
but it is presenting a very serious safety issue for our children.
Children being picked up by car must be picked up in the car line on
the First Parish side of the road. If the car line backs up onto
First Parish Road, please drive around the block until the line eases
up and your car can fit on our property.
I understand that this is an inconvenience, but we must think of the
safety of the CHILDREN first. I might suggest arriving a few minutes
before dismissal time or a few minutes after dismissal time to stagger
the amount of cars arriving at one time. Cars arriving at approx.
2:55 are able to drive right in and right out. The following schedule
should help you plan your dismissal times:
2:50 car pick up students begin loading and buses
2:57-3:00 walkers dismissed
A little patience and planning ahead will go a long way here. Our
crossing guard has been instructed to write down license plate numbers
of vehicles who are violating the procedures established. Please do
the right thing to help us keep YOUR children safe.
