Girls Ice Hockey - Wednesday evening the girls ice hockey team lost a hard fought battle against Westwood High School. Despite scoring four goals, your lady Sailors couldn’t edge out the Wolverines who outshot Scituate 38-15. Regardless of the score, this was one of the best games of the season. Senior Captain Katy McMahon scored the first two Scituate goals, one with assists from Maggie Travers and Allie Benkart, and the other unassisted. Gabby Lopez also scored a goal on a one-timer from the slot, assisted by Corey Murray and Orianna McDonough. Senior Captain Maggie Travers also notched a goal of her own with assist from Katy McMahon and Sam Coughlan.

Come support your lady Sailors this weekend as they face off against league opponent Hanover/Cohasset on Saturday at 5pm in Randolph. The girls record is now 8-7 with 5 games left to play. Go Sailors!

Health Tip for Today - MAKE HALF YOUR PLATE FRUITS AND VEGETABLES. CHOOSE RED, ORANGE, AND DARK GREEN VEGETABLES LIKE TOMATOES, SWEET POTATOES, AND BROCCOLI, ALONG WITH OTHER VEGETABLES FOR YOUR MEALS. ADD FRUIT TO MEALS AS PART OF MAIN OR SIDE DISHES OR AS DESSERT.

Drama Club – Do you like to act? Sing? Do you play an instrument? Come to an informational meeting for this year’s spring musical, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, on Thursday, February 9th at 2PM in the auditorium. All students who are interested in acting, playing in the pit band or working on tech are encouraged to attend. New members are always welcome!
